-- Take the Quiz! --

Tied for second: Kucinich, Obama, and Clinton.

Highest scoring republican: Giuliani, shocking no one, followed by (ewwww) Mitt Romney.

Of course, nuanced political opinions can not be fairly delineated in an 11-question quiz.

Whoa. I've been calling myself an Edwards supporter, but I got Kucinich (?!), then Dodd, then Clinton and Obama tied, then all the other Democrats tied a couple of points below them. (Except Biden, way down at the bottom, as he should be.)

I think we pay too much in taxes, actually believe Islamo-facists are a threat, know I will never see a dime of Social Security, and think we ought to provide better benefits for soldiers than we do illegal gang members who contribute nothing to our country besides crime and anchor babies, so...voting Democrat is out.
On the other hand, I don't give a flip about abortion, stem cells, or gay marraige. I have been married, so if one guy wants to enter that misery with another guy, go for it. It's your sloooooowwww death.

The quiz says I should vote for Romney.

My BIL is a rabid republican - he took the quiz and his guy was OBAMA! He took it several times because he just KNEW there was a mistake - and it came up Obama every time. He's quite depressed now...

No big shocker here, but with the odd insertion of Joe Biden, of all people, about halfway down, I was all Republican up front, headlining with McCain, Guliani, and Romney.

I found the question to be ridiculously simplistic, and, in some cases, misleading with regard to political philosophy.

For instance, as marriage laws as specifically state based and there is not constitutional position on hetero marriage, why should there be one on any other kind of marriage. I am perfectly fine with gay marriage, for instance... I just don't think it is the federal government's call. Tolerance and understanding come from education, not force. The current method for fostering diversity has resulted in such things as the ghetto monkeyfest currently plaguing our inner cities being dubbed "a culture". When the government encourages you to let them do your thinking for you, the hair on the back of your neck should stand up. Remember that Woodrow Wilson was the first to coin the term "Progressive". Before one thinks of the liberal wing of the Democratic Party redefining themselves as "Progressives" as being a good thing, it would be wise to look up what Wilson actually meant by that.

Sorry for the poitical dissertation! :)

John
