it begins
LOTS of intrigue going on around work. Some stuff I officially "don't know" yet, some stuff that really excites me, some stuff that really gives me reason to pause. What's on paper now is not necessarily what will be in the final draft.
Vague, I know, but with the nature of the Internet right now I can't afford to be more detailed. Some of you may be getting calls for advice soon.

Sit steady in the boat and let the other folks play games. What's best will turn out for you, that's always the way. Leastwise, that'se my experience after 67 years
Some of it seems to have quietly passed by -- that's the reason to pause stuff. I'm ok with that, I don't think I really want to plunge headlong into that kind of mess without the proper support.
The other two -- stuff I "don't know" (but really do) and stuff that's exciting -- incidentally, both directly related to each other -- is still simmering.
Nothing will come of that for a few more months, though. Still, the signs all point the same direction.
